Ultranet features a central email notification service that users can enable to subscribe to reminders/alerts for particular events in the system. That way, important activity will be highlighted to you via email rather than having to visit different areas of Ultranet and scanning for changes manually.
Email alerts come in two varieties: daily digests (i.e. a single email every morning with a summary of activity) and real-time emails(i.e. you get emailed as soon as the event is triggered in Ultranet).
Configuring daily digest alerts
The Daily Digest feature is essentially a notification service for Ultranet users, and allows a daily email reminder to be sent out to users updating them of upcoming activities, events or milestones from the Dashboard.
Setting up the main Daily Digest service
To enable or disable the Daily Digest feature for your account:

Sign in and go to your Dashboard, then select the "Account Settings" option from the right.

Next, navigate to the "Preferences" tab.

Under the "Email Notifications" section, check/uncheck the boxes to suit your preference (depending on what kind of information you do/don't want to receive).

Once you have set your preferences, click on the "Save & Update My Preferences" button at the bottom.
Setting up Moderation Digests (Teachers/Administrators only)
If you have a Teacher or Administrator account type, an additional daily digest type is available should you be responsible for moderating Bookings or News Centre submissions. Using this feature, you will then be able to receive an email summary of all items that have been booked in the past 24 hours that require your moderation approval.
To enable or disable the Moderation Digest feature for your account:

Repeat the steps above to get to your Preferences panel.

Locate and enable/disable the Moderation Digest option that appears directly below the main Daily Digest options.

Click on the "Save & Update My Preferences" button at the bottom to update your settings.
Configuring real-time email alerts
The real-time email alert feature provides instant notification of an event within Ultranet, specifically to do with incoming messages and/or moderation requests (Teachers/Administrators only). Once enabled, as soon as a message arrives in your Ultranet inbox or a user submits a moderation request, you will receive an email alerting you of this.
To enable or disable the real-time email alerts for your account:

Repeat the steps above to get to your Preferences panel.

Locate and enable/disable the corresponding option for Moderation or Message Inbox alerts.
