Ultranet 2.4: Exporting files from the Resources module

If used well, the Resources module can grow to contain quite a number of key course content and materials. On some occasions, you may want to take a copy of this content as a personal backup or to share with another user. Rather than downloading each resource individually, you can use the Export function to extract a ZIP archive that will contain all your files, hyperlinks and DLO links.

To generate the export package:

  1. Navigate to the page that contains the Resources module to be exported. Click on the Resource module's "Options" link and select "Resource Options".

  2. In the subsequent pop-up window, click on the "Export" button along the bottom.

  3. Next, you will be prompted to select which files in the module you would like to include in the batch export. Use the checkboxes shown beside each folder/file to make your selection.

You can also use the "Select all/Select none" shortcuts to toggle the selection. Once you have made your selection, click the "Next" button along the bottom.

  4. In the final screen, you can choose to enter a more meaningful name/identifier for the ZIP export or use the default filename of "Resources.zip".

Once you have made your selection, click the "Export" button to proceed. Your files will then be collected and compressed into a ZIP archive, and you will get a download link when it is ready.

Note: Depending on the size of your archive, it may take a while to compress and prepare the file to download. Your archive cannot exceed more than 300MB.
