Events entered in to particular page Calendars can be automatically pushed to other users' Personal Calendars on their Dashboards. This can be useful if adding in events on a page that is not regularly visited, or whose calendar events are important and need to be pushed out to users.
To enable this feature:
-
Navigate to the calendar to be shared and click on its module "Options" link, then select the "Edit Calendar Settings" option.
-
In the resulting Calendar Settings window, ensure that the "Share to Members" checkbox is ticked, then click "Update Calendar".
-
Next, click on the module "Options" link again, but this time select the "Calendar Event Sharing" option.
-
In the next window, you will see a listing of which groups are getting the calendar events published to them. By default this should be blank. To add a group to the list, simply select it from the drop-down menu displayed, then click the "Add" button.
Repeat the process if you want to add another group to the list.
-
Once you have made your selections, click the "Close" button. Now, any events on the current calendar will also automatically appear on the Personal Calendars of the users in the group(s) selected.
